本屆正值台北國際藝術博覽會歡慶 20 週年，展覽規模計有 148 間畫廊參展，其中，國內畫廊 70 間、海外畫廊 78 間，橫跨 14 個國家，共同開拓台北國際藝術博覽會的版圖。展會由張學孔擔任執行委員會召集人，時任理事長張逸羣任執行長，並由錢文雷任副執行長，林怡華任秘書長。ART TAIPEI 2013 以「亞洲觀點」成功連結亞洲各地蓬勃發展的藝術表現，大會主題「亞洲作為一種概念」，展現「After 20, 20 After 藝術，作為一種耕耘的方式」的年度精神，以回望過去 20 年的成長歷程。受到極高關注的「MIT 台灣製造—新人推薦特區 Made in Taiwan—Young Artist Discovery」也自 2013 年起，改由中華民國畫廊協會遴選專業畫廊, 協助藝術家處理台北藝博現場作品交易等藝術經紀事宜，承擔畫廊與 MIT 藝術家的媒合執行工作。

This year marked the 20th anniversary of the ART TAIEPI, with a total of 148 galleries participating in the fair, including 70 domestic galleries and 78 international galleries representing 14 different countries. Together, they were expanding the horizons of the ART TAIPEI. This edition was organized by Zhang Xuekong as the convener of the executive committee, the chairman of TAGA, Zhang Yiqun, as the executive director, Qian Welie as the deputy executive director, and Lin Yihua as the secretary-general. ART TAIPEI 2013 successfully connected the vibrant artistic expressions from various parts of Asia under the theme "Asia as a Concept.” The annual core spirit, titled "After 20, 20 After, Art, as a Way of Cultivation" was a reflection on the growth journey of the past 20 years. Since 2013, the highly acclaimed "MIT Made in Taiwan Up and Coming Artists" transitioned to being supported by professional galleries selected by the Taiwan Art Gallery Association. These galleries assisted artists in handling on-site artwork transactions and other art management matters during ART TAIPEI, taking on the role of facilitating connections between galleries and MIT artists.
