2012 年適逢中華民國畫廊協會創立二十週年，台北國際藝術博覽會首次擴大展區規模，從以往使用世貿一館的一至二個展區，延伸為使用三個展區空間；另一方面，對歐美畫廊暑休和便利國外收藏家造訪所做出的決策，ART TAIPEI 展期也首度從以往的 8 月調整至 11 月。和 2011 年相較，ART TAIPEI 2012 的展商數成長高達 120%，達到 150 間畫廊的展商數，其中有 80 家畫廊來自國際。執行委員會由理事長張學孔擔任召集人兼執行長、副執行長為卓來成、秘書長朱庭逸，以「Made by Art」為年度精神，關注藝術所能發動的思想能量。展期間舉辦的「2012 台北藝術論壇 2012 Art Taipei Forum」以「亞洲氣象」為主題，綜觀亞洲藝術市場發展態勢。

In 2012, concurrent with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Taiwan Art Gallery Association (TAGA), ART TAIPEI expanded its exhibition space for the first time. Instead of using one to two exhibition areas in the World Trade Center Exhibition Hall as in previous years, it extended to three exhibition zones. In addition, considering the summer hiatus of European and American galleries and the increased convenience for foreign collectors to visit, unprecedentedly, ART TAIPEI shifted its exhibition period from August to November. Compared to 2011, the number of exhibitors at ART TAIPEI 2012 grew by a staggering 120%, reaching 150 galleries, including 80 international galleries. In 2012, the executive committee was led by the chairman of TAGA, Zhang Xuekong, serving as the convener and executive director, with Zhuo Laicheng as the deputy executive director and Zhu Tingyi as the secretary-general. With the annual theme of "Made by Art," ART TAIPEI focused on the intellectual potential that art can unleash. During the exposition, the "2012 Art Taipei Forum" was held, focusing on the topic of "Asian Outlook," providing a comprehensive overview of the development in the Asian art market.
